Another phone in 2 years
It’s been nearly 2 years since I started using the iPhone 3G, and over these 2 years Apple did offer 2 different types of iPhones to the market the 3Gs and the 4. Since my phone has been working perfectly I have no intention to make any changes, I have not even upgrade my phone with the latest software as been told that, it will ruin the performance with the oldest iPhone.
Though I am not a gadget follower, I eventually got the new phone by just extending my contract with the service provider.
For sure Apple will introduce a a model every year, but still as long as this one is working, I think I am not going to change it too soon!

Nice – I hope to be changing phones soon. My bf wants me to choose BB (he has one) but I like this phone.
Yeah, there’s no point to change phones more frequently than needed. There are a lot of toxic components inside that never get properly recycled, so best to use out.
Sounds like you got a new phone? iphone 4?
Yeah… good for you! LOL
@ElusiveWords - frankly for business use, I think BB is a better choice too….
@christao408 - tat’s true and every other week we will see all new gadgets coming out to the market…..I just been to the new apple shop in Richmond and over heard a staff told a client that if he really wanted to have a new iPhone4 he better come to queue up at the mall around 330am by 0700ish they will know if there is any shipment from the States for that day….
@CurryPuffy - yes and just wonder if they are going to hv the series 5 Next year….?
@ZenPaper - yeah it’s a good deal…..at the end!
Was passing through and came across your site. My service provider gives a new phone every two years and I am due for my upgrade in December. Have no idea what to choose.
@Umnenga - frankly…been using the iPhone 4 for 5 days…and havn’t encountered those problems like drop calls, weak reception ..etc people been talking about when it first launched 2 months ago, on the other hand the speed on the handset on internet, typing are quite fast….and I just use a simple plastic protective case like what I have been using for my old phone.
