  • AUG 2010 Food……….

    Dinner a the King Ludwig Beerhall Wan Chai..

    German food and beer, of  cause I only had the food…

    Live music throughout…….with a  drink…Safe Sex on the Beach

     

    goulash with veal’s cheek     and a spinach clam chowder

    Bread with Herb Spread and Beef liver pate,  German Sausages Platter

    Chix a la King on potatoe cake, with the German Pig Knuckle

    Dessert combo

    Yum Chai  Yum Chai…..Baked Pineapple bus with  Almond custard, Steam Fish(鮮) on rice

    remember I  first had lunch at this Nahm restaurant about a year ago?

    revisit it a couple of day ago for dinner……

    Red Dragon actually a ice slush drink of Dragon Fruit, Strawberry…, then Spicy chicken and mushroom coconut soup

     Grilled Sea bass, oyster mushroom,  green vegetables  Thai Yellow Curry…… coconut flavor steam rice…

    Braised Lamb Shank with tamarind curry and poached nachi pears

    Another dinner at the Japanese chain Pokka Cafe at the family square CWB

    set dinner at around HKD150 /person you will have  a Pumpkin Soup

    at another soup at half of the menu price this one Ox tail soup, and an appetizer  hm…for got the full name of this, like a mini salad with  a piece of sashimi

    main course…a New Zealand steak, mixed grills

     


    Here came the surprises, the meat were hot and tasty however the side dish potatoes were cold, we ask the captain if it was meant to be served cold, he said no and apologized, picked up the potatoes and asked me to have the meat while he asked the kitchen to  fix us some fresh hot onee….. of cos at the end the potatoes came after we finished our meat, therefore other than the origianl set dinner dessert, we received another dessert  on the house……

  • I’ve been wondering where you’ve been… =D  So what did you think of the German food?  We have a German place here in BKK that I’ve tried once but not sure how much I really liked it.  Should try again to form an opinion.

    Oh, I’m going to be in HKG from Oct 14-18, if you happen to be in town.

  • That sausage platter looks very good and I love sauerkraut. 

  • @christao408 - I guess, the german food is good to go with beer.? since I”m not a beer lover, I revisit will take a long time….so I will keep the date in mind and let you know once my OCT roster is out…
    @ElusiveWords - hahaha those sausages look tempting….. :P
