  • Tonkatzu time…

Another Tonkatzu time…..it has been a year since my last Tonkatzu meal, Last Thurs I went to try this Tonkatzu Ginza Bairin at the IFC mall in Hong Kong, the restaurant is originally from  Ginza ,Tokyo Japan since  1927.

Deep Fried Crab Cake and the  ChilledTofu Dish.

though you could find lots of crab meat, the texture was a bit loose luckily the bread crumb layer was hard enough to hold on everything,  the chilled tofu was as usual very refreshing.

Fried Pork Fillet Set and the Fried Oyster Set

The good thing of having the set is you can have free refill of the steam rice and the cabbages…..
Next time I will just order the Fried Pork Loin  because  the Fillet which had less fat made the texture a bit tough and in this case I also found the layer a bit too hard……I didn’t try the oyster because I am not a fan of it….

Fried Pork Loin Set, my friend let me tried this out and the texture of the meat was more tender and juicy, while both of us also found the layer was also too hard.. and we eventually ordered the Japanese curry sauce aimed to go with the rice but we also  used it as a dip for our pork…..

oh I miss the Tonkatzu I had last time at the World Trade Centre CWB…..
