Beleive it or not really up to you, since every now and then there are new reports regarding health and illnesses..

Excellent article on cancer. Pass it on.

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY AND ELIMINATE CANCER,  JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY .

Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins :

    1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

    2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person’s lifetime.

    3. When the person’s immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumours.

    4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

    5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

    6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

    7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healt! hy cells , tissues and organs.

    8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

    9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

    10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

    11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

            WHAT CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

            a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal,Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very sma ll amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it w h i te in colour. Better alternative is Bragg’s aminos or sea salt.

            b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells are being starved.

            c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic a nd it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than ! beef or pork.  Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

            d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment.  About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes t o no urish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

            e. Avoid c offee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine.  Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

    12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes.
Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

    13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more e nzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body’s killer ce lls to destroy the cancer cells.

    14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body’s own killer cells to d estroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are kn! own to c ause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body’s normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

    15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

    16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

  • Taipei short stay….

Flew to Taipei last Mon for a short 4 days trip with my ex-collegues  when I was wroking at the Kai Tak Airport HKG. The flying time from HKG to TPE is about 1 hr 15 mins so the crew work quite fast.

Arriving into the TPE TaoYuen airport then took a a airport bus to get into Taipei city…about another 1hr ride…once in the city…with their MRT system i.e. Sky train plus subways  it’s quite conv to explore the city…

Exploring the night markets, having snack at the hawker stalls along the road side is fun, browsing the famous Eslite Bookstore  you can find all types of books, audio and video products, the variety is huge. It’s quite easy to bump into good looking guys while the girls do put a lot of efforts onto their looks, and it quite surprised to see that their public washroom being kept clean and tidy, bet it’s the good wrok from both the people who use it and theose who keep maintaining….and i aslo found the majority of people are quite polite…over all the whole TPE is just a a mini Tokyo in Japan….

Over all TPE is worth   for a week-end break though the hotel rate is a bit higher……

  • It was a great evening last night

Finally the show is over and so glad that 10 of us performers  enjoyed the show as much as the audience did.

    angel's concert 2008-1

I arrived the concert hall around 1100 in the morning…..as usual waiting and wating, cos all the stage teachican, musician,  were still decorating the stage, testing on the lightings and the setting of the position of all the instruments, and problem always happen during this time…..thing just seems not proper……the full rehearsal didn’t take place till 1500 and we finished around 1800, so we could only manage doing it up to the first act…which  meant no practice before performaing the 2nd act.

However once the show started…..thing ran surprisingly smooth, I am not saying that it’s 100% problem free, but the run down did go as it is….and everyone of us did perform very well, and I’m sure the audience appreicted that by their positive response….

It’s really not easy to get all of us to perform together, after this I really don’t know if there is another chance….but I do really treasure this one cos it’s really a membrable one at least for myself!

    A REVIEW by others

  • Tonight is the Night

Finally…….tonight is the night for the concert……soo excited…..soo nervous….am I well prepared????will I be cold feet while on stage? didn’t sleep too well for the past 2 nites after I arrived HK from vancouver……all my dreams were regading the concert, the singing, the performance……I know this should be a fun concert for  me and my 9 other friends cos it’s a prescious opportunity to get together and deliver our own kind of music….till the pressure is just there………anyway hope for the best…..

  • Rehearsal at the Band Room

wow….time flies….it’s the last week before the concert….soo excited….. Went to the Band Room to practice with the band gosh….it’s been a long while since I last sang in a band room with a live band….. it took me toally 2 1/2 hours to do all my 3 songs that day……I know it’s not enough , however we still got another 5 people to practice that day….

I think I am a very bad guy since I’ve picked 2 Big Band songs  for the band to play  which is very challenging for both the band(as the pieces are very differnt to what they usually play) and myself(…..My dad is not around to help  me any more……..) luckily the Canton pop I chose from the late 70s is a FUN!

Hope the evening will not turn out to be a bad one……..

Some friends ask me…….is the concert a KTV gathering? Well no, it’s a serious one…..with live band playing and some of the performaer even have dancers…..hahahaha…sound intersting……
