  • SUNDAY BRUNCH

Just had a nice Sunday Brunch Buffet at a new restaurant which is loacted in  the Central Ferry Pier – The Watermark which is managed  by the Igor’s Group - a HK’s western food group, where you can have a great waterfront view of the Victoria Harbour with Kowloon as the back ground……The Buffet consists of cold and hot appertize tables, a dessert table and  your choice of  an Egg entree prepared by the Chef  and I had  my favourite  Egg Benedict. at the price of HKD298+/pp  and I found the quality of the food was good, and the service was good as long as you can speak English (Chin-lish in my case) since over 80% of their staff are non-chinese. The buffet starts from 1200 to 1500 while the restaurant was full of westerner customers, which made me feel like I was not having meal in HKG……till after 1330 when there were more local chinese yuppies. around  and they all well behaved  – no jumping aournd while selecting the food..Over all  a very positive experience…

  • Chinese New Year 2008 – Part II

It was quite a busy CNY for me….on the first day woke up a bit earlier than usual  i.e. 1000 then went for a lunch, an afternoon tea, then for dinner around 1930 in the evening. The 2nd day went to visit 2 collegues then had a quick light  lunch at around 1300 cos will be having the “Hoi Nin” dinner with another group of friends as early as  1800 in the evening after that a dessert gathering…..

On the 3rd day….flew to NYC….I usually don’t fly to NYC since I need to wake up early in the moring for the flight and will do all my best to swap for the HKG ones hm….maybe it’s the festive mood that not many people would like to work?  Luckily the loading was light on this flight therefore I eventually just did it…..and it was sooo hard to crawl out of my bed……

Arrived NYC early and some of the crew and I headed to a Malaysian Restaurant in China Town called Nyonya for a malaysian dinner, bet my last visit to this restaurant was about 2 years ago with Alwin….and he was surprised how authentic the food was…….the Roti with curry sauce, the singapore Laksa, Penang Laksa……etc to wrap up the dinner we had the restaurant’s famous Young Coconut Pudding

  • Chinese New Year 2008

Only over a month of 2008 and we are going to celebrate the Chinese New Year!

In Hong Kong on 04Feb at night went to the CNY fair( Market Fair) at the Victoria Park , it’s a tradition that  people go to thsese market fairs to shop  a few days ahead of the CNY for the goodies, flowers, or any merchandise and stuffs to be used over  the CNY  holidays since the normal shops are usually closed for business for a few days to celebrate the New Year as well as a reuion for family members….

And it’s the very first tme for Alwin to go to the fair as over the past 12 years he managed to fly back to PEN to get together with his friends and family….
