Flying to Seoul on Korean Air
MY last trip to #Seoul #Korea was a last minute plan, I decided to go for the trip only one week before the departure day, thanks to the travel agent, who managed to get us the air ticket on #KoreanAir and hotel room , over the Golden week holiday of China when a lot of wealthy Chinese going oversea holiday trip!
This was my very first time to fly on Korean Air (KE) which I have heard of many negative comments from my friends mostly living in Vancouver cos KE is one of the cheaper options to fly back to Hong Kong
Flying on the Red-eye flight means that we can arrive Seoul very early in the morning save one night hotel accommodation..
The KE’s A380 at HKG airport

quite a nice seat with a very generous let room!

the IFE screen is the same size of the SQ one, and the view cam from the tail …

on this slightly over 3 hours flight, we were offered with pre-meal drinks

and trying the Bibimbap as an inflgiht meal, the Korean chilli sauce which also can be purchased in-flight!!

A better look of the Big Whale after arrival.

Nice! They offered full meal for a short flight!
I sooo want to try flight on the big whale with Emirates Airlines
Oh nice… thanks for the peek inside this whale.
@CurryPuffy - yes, even TG I flew 4 months ago on an shorter HKG/BKK flight they also offered full meal service, having said that, last night when I was operating the JFK/YVR flight, after the meal service, I over heard 2 paxs saying that they’re surprised we serve hot meal onboard (though we don’t serve pre-meal drink…) I just feel sad flying between Canada and the US…..

@AppsScraps - EK, from all the people(usually in Asia) I know who have flown with them, all praising their the inflight hardware, F&B, except the service from the crew…..maybe they have better crew for the YYZ/DXB sector…..
@ElusiveWords - this is actually my 2nd time flying on the Big Whale, last time was 2 years ago with my Favourite SQ, though I must admit that the seat pitch on KE is better than SQ; and for KE there is actually a duty-free kiosk at the back of the main deck!
You know, we flew KE from BKK-ICN almost six years ago and had a really good experience. If I wasn’t so tied into BR (EVA) I would probably choose KE (or OZ) for my transpac flights as I really like ICN as a transit point. That said, now that CX is planning to add premium economy, I may decide to change my allegiences to them!
@christao408 - for us, let’s wait and see until Mar next year, rumour is the first PY class on the YYZ route….
