Fall eating in Hong Kong and Vancouver….

Fat Angelo’s American-Italian, what a disappointment,  after so many years revisit this chain restaurant’s Casueway Bay branch, I found the quality of food is really….sad…

complimentary green salad and bread basket, a Creamed Spinach, which actually looks like spinach  soaking in a light creme soup and taseles…….

Wild Mushroom and Truffle Risotto, oh the aroma of the truffle is very weak…..

Rosemary Roasted Chicken, a bit dry in texture….

Tea at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel  Central Hong Kong  – Cafe Causette , (my late fater  used to work as a Pianist at the Mandarin Grill of cos it looks totally different after 25 years)

The food is marginally accetable however I was a bit shock with the service I have received on this afternoon, lack of staff, and they also have the usual working attitude of restaurant servers all over Hong Kong, they rather gather and gossip among themselves( though they are well trained the serving etiquette ) rather than looking after thier guests, it’s just so difficult to get their attention to refill my tea pot……. I  find this award winning team is nothing better than those one who serve me at Tsui Wah…How Sad!

    Quite a decent Tea…..

  • That spinach looks so sad.

The rest of the food looks decent enough.  The idea of an edible picture is kind of spooky, though.

  • The food at Fat Angelo’s is not attractive at all, especially that spinach dish.  Nostalgic ‘edible photos’ attached on food? What a foodie ‘faux pas’!

I guess you have to work hard at the gym to burn off all those calories, right?
