Eat something to keep you warm – HotPot
Spent the New Years day again inside the aircraft and another week-end in HongKong…and the weather was cool, I can’t say it’s cold as compare to Canada….
Friday night went to a Korean restaurant called Kaya at CWB, this shop been quite famous thses day , thanks to a lot of people such as Chua Lam (Choi Lan) and magazines recommendation.
Me and my other 2 friends ordered totally 3 dishes with complementry BanChan (6) from the restaurant – a Korean tradition thought the taste was good the portion was a bit small and the free refill was only 2 out of the 6 choices.
the mains dishes were:
Ribs(Beef) stew
Bimbiba
Hot pot with Portk…from the colour , you know it’s spicy
Sweet tea
On Saturday night….had some Singaporean food
Laksa – Singaporean style which is different from Malaysian
Fried carrot cake
Barley drink
After the dinner walked along the WanChai market and saw this Jackfruit and
People having their Hot Pot dinner at the open air (usually in winter)

Oh, Korean food! Perfect on a chilly winter’s night.
BTW, that last photo turned out very nice.
Hotpot outdoors – I guess we can’t do that here. But I just love the idea.
a lot of good food in Hong Kong. I can spend months in HK, and still have good restaurants to try. I had tried hot pot, but not ready to eat in the open in winter though.
@christao408 - the Korean spicy soup did help a lot on that chilly nite.. ..
@ElusiveWords - @stevew918 - If my memory is right, I think I have tried the outdoors Hotpot only once when I was a teenager and the winter in HK was colder than now, Wear thick, the face is warm cos facing the stove and cold at the back as the wind blows
Bimbiba – I like the burnt crispy rice at the bottom of the bowl! I left HK too early, or else could have caught up with you for a hot pot dinner!!
@curry69curry -
it would be nice to hv both the bimbiba n the hotpot
