A Deluxe Burger….
Had a deluxe burger at the InterContinental Hotel Hong Kong Lobby Lounge on Wed afternoon. Haven’t been there for more than 10 years, it used to be known as the Regent Hotel and the Lobby lounge was a very popular place among the Rich and Famous (or wanna be) while the Peninsula Hotel was more to the Japanese Tourist( Mainland Chinese nowadays).
The Hotel actually has not changed much, the decor of the lobby lounge to today’s standard is a bit dated because the late 80′s settings however the view over looking the Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong Island is spectacular! And reminds me of the good old days…..
The service is still at it’s best! Very Prefessional, Effecient and courteous, the Captain took the orders and the server delivered accordingly without asking question like “who order what” to the guests, full size silverware dining. The current menu is a creation by 2 famous international chefs who also have their own restaurant at the hotel Alain Ducasse of the SPOON and Nobu Matsuhisa of NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong
The Table Setting
Today I have the French Burger while my Freind Alwin has the Indain Burger
The French Burger : a Beef Burger of medium-well with Foie Gras, Truffles, Sun-dried tomatoes, and the taste is oh…soo enjoyable……only your own palate can tell you how good it is!
The Indian Burger: A Lamb/Mutton Burger with all those exotics spices..of course cannot compare with the Premium French one, but it still a very good one….
Later on another friend Otto joined us as well and he had one of the 3 choices of the tea sets
An English Scones Tea Set..
This afternoon tea actually costs us about HKD800 and yes I find it very reasonable because of the whole package: the place, the service, the food( it looks good and taste good)
